The Sea Song of Ozymandias

The Sea Song of Ozymandias

£300.00

A presentation memorial clock from the 1950’s that was found it a charity shop, this piece (before I reimagined it!) was originally given as a retirement award to someone for working fifty years in an upholstery store.

Reclaimed by nature, the lost time is captured in shells that all travel inwards and outwards if you follow their spiral, and if you listen carefully to the rushing sound the shells contain, you can hear the story of not just one life, but of many.

Mixed media with glass beads, shell and a 1950’s clock base (which doesn’t work).
